SaaS product development: turn your expertise into a subscription business
You know a workflow that many companies need in the same way, and want to offer it as subscription software? We develop your SaaS product: multi-tenant, with a trial period and automated billing, integrated with existing systems, hosted in the EU. First version (MVP) in 4 to 8 weeks, then operation and expansion for years.
- 80+ projects
- 5.0 on Google
- EU & GDPR first
- Initial consultation directly with the managing director – free & non-binding
Where does your SaaS product stand right now?
A good SaaS product doesn’t start with an app idea, but with a workflow that has proven itself and with customers who need it. We pick you up wherever you are.
“Other companies could use our in-house tool too.”
You have solved a workflow in Excel, Access or a home-grown application that your industry needs just as much. We turn it into a multi-tenant SaaS product with a trial period, subscription and user management that other companies subscribe to.
“Our know-how lies in consulting and services. We want to scale it.”
You advise, plan, inspect or calculate for your customers, always following the same pattern. As a calculator, planning tool or specialist application on subscription, you reach many customers at once, like the photovoltaic calculator SolarMaker with over 15,000 plans.
“We know the industry and its customers. What we lack is a development team.”
You have market access, your first pilot customers and a business model, but no development team of your own. We are your technology partner: concept, clickable prototype, MVP and operation from a single source, with experience in product, business model and sales.
“The prototype works, but billing, tenants and security are missing.”
A freelancer, a no-code builder or AI tools produced a first version that can’t carry paying customers. After a technical analysis, we add subscription billing, tenant separation, roles and permissions, monitoring and operation, or rebuild selectively.
What a SaaS product really needs
Subscription software is more than a web app with a login. For customers to sign up, try, pay and stay on their own, it takes building blocks that we plan into every SaaS development from the start.
How your SaaS product comes to life
No 80-page specification and no months without results. Every step has a tangible outcome and an effort estimate up front, and after each step you decide whether to continue.
- 1
Initial consultation
30 minutes with the managing director: workflow, target group, pricing model, existing systems. You get an honest assessment of whether the SaaS product will pay off, roughly what it will cost and where you should start. Free and non-binding.
- 2
Concept & clickable prototype
Together with your specialists, we clarify workflows, roles, tenants and pricing model and build a clickable prototype. With it, you can show the product to your first prospects before a single line of production code is written. Outcome: a roadmap for the MVP with an effort estimate.
- 3
MVP in 4 to 8 weeks
The first usable version with the core feature, login, tenants and trial period. You see progress every week, get test versions in your browser and give feedback directly. Scope determines effort; together we cut everything the first customers don’t need.
- 4
Pilot customers
The MVP goes to your first customers. Usage, feedback and metrics show what works and what customers pay for. In this phase, we expand subscription billing, onboarding and interfaces so that the product can be sold without manual work.
- 5
Operation & expansion
Hosting in the EU, monitoring, maintenance and support in live operation. We prioritise new features by what your customers use and ask for, until the MVP has become a product that lasts for years, like ziachfuchs.com, now in version 3.
AI writes code. We build software.
Thanks to wunderOS and our wunderFactory.
AI has opened up programming to everyone: anyone can put a prototype together today. Whether it turns into software that holds up in day-to-day operation is decided afterwards – in architecture, security, testing and maintenance over the years. That is exactly where prompting and real expertise part ways.
That is why we built our own operating system: wunderOS runs our company from sales to development. At its heart is the wunderFactory, where our AI agents, the wunderBots, build to the architecture rules, standards and tests from 20 years of software development – led by experienced software architects.
The result is software built noticeably faster and more affordably – in the quality you hire us for. We are AI experts and use that to get the best out of your project.

More software for the same budget
The wunderBots handle the routine work. You pay for architecture, decisions and results – not for legwork.
Live in weeks, not months
From the workshop to the first usable version, with changes after that in days. You see early on what works.
Quality is built in, not bolted on
Tests, reviews and security checks run automatically in the wunderFactory with every change – not just when there is time.
Architects, not prompters
The AI executes, we decide: data model, interfaces, operations. That way your software stays maintainable and extensible five years from now.
Bottom line: Bespoke software on terms that make sense for SMEs too – built with AI, with software architects accountable for it.

Thank you very much!

A SaaS product is a business for years
Anyone who sells software on subscription promises their customers that it will still run tomorrow. That’s why we don’t build throwaway software, but software that lasts: running, adaptable and operable for years.
For us as a small development team from Austria, this is not an extra option but standard practice: EU & GDPR first.
- Open technologies, clearly documented
Open, widely used technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js and Laravel, clearly documented. No per-user licence, no dependence on a no-code builder or a single developer.
- Operation for years
Monitoring, backups, security updates and support from a single source. We have looked after the learning platform ziachfuchs.com for more than ten years, now in version 3.
- Development driven by usage
New features arrive in short steps, prioritised by what your customers actually use and ask for, rather than by a wish list from day one.
- Hosting in the EU, GDPR-compliant
Operation in the EU, or in your own cloud on request. We plan data processing agreements, privacy policy and deletion concepts for you and your customers as part of the project.

Why us?
What else is on your mind?
Many projects touch more than one topic. Here are the other areas in which we support businesses.
Ready for your own SaaS product?
Whether it’s an in-house tool, expertise or an industry solution: in a 30-minute initial consultation, we clarify whether your product will pay off on subscription, what the MVP looks like and what the first step costs.
Frequently asked questions about SaaS development
Your question isn’t listed? We’ll answer it directly with the managing director in a free initial consultation.
How much does it cost to have a SaaS product developed?
Scope determines effort: the number of features, the tenant model, subscription logic, interfaces and the demands on design and user experience. That’s why wunderwerk doesn’t quote a flat price, but gives you an effort estimate before every step. The first version (MVP) with the core feature, login, tenants and trial period is built in 4 to 8 weeks; subscription billing, onboarding and interfaces follow after the first pilot customers. Get an initial estimate with the cost calculator or in a free initial consultation.
How long does SaaS development take until the first paying customers?
At wunderwerk, a clickable prototype is usually ready within a few days, and the MVP with the core feature after 4 to 8 weeks. That is what your first pilot customers work with. Over the following weeks, we expand the trial period, subscription billing and self-service onboarding so that new customers can start and pay without manual work. A complete SaaS product then keeps growing over months, but is in use from the first version.
What does it take to turn expertise into a SaaS product?
Four things: a problem that many companies share, a workflow you know better than others, access to your first customers and an architecture that securely separates multiple customers (tenants). You bring the expertise, market access and business model; wunderwerk adds product and technology experience, multi-tenancy, subscription billing, trial period, user management, hosting and operation. An app idea without a target group and business model isn’t enough, and we say so openly in the initial consultation.
What is an MVP in SaaS development?
An MVP (minimum viable product) is the first usable version of your SaaS product with only the features your first customers need to experience the core benefit and pay for it. Instead of building everything for months, you test with manageable effort whether customers adopt the product, and only then invest in expanding it. wunderwerk develops MVPs for SaaS products and platforms in 4 to 8 weeks, with login, tenants and trial period from the start.
What does multi-tenant mean, and do I need it?
Multi-tenant means that several customers use the same software, but each sees only their own data, users and settings. For subscription software, this is the foundation: without tenant separation, you would have to maintain a separate installation for every customer. wunderwerk builds multi-tenancy, roles and permissions into the architecture from the first version, either as tenants in one application or, as with the business software for 24-hour care, as a separate instance per customer.
How does subscription billing work in a SaaS product?
Automatically. wunderwerk integrates a payment provider and builds the trial period, monthly and annual subscriptions, invoices, upgrades, cancellations and payment reminders so that they run without manual work. On the learning platform ziachfuchs.com, new users start with a 3-month trial and then switch to a monthly or annual subscription; with the photovoltaic calculator SolarMaker, the trial version is followed by a subscription with automated billing and an integrated sales funnel.
We already have a first version built with Lovable, a freelancer or a no-code builder. Can you take it over?
Yes, after a paid technical and commercial analysis. wunderwerk reviews code, architecture, security, data protection and the rights to the source code, and shows whether the first version can be expanded into a SaaS product or whether a targeted rebuild is more economical. We see a quickly built prototype as a legitimate first step: it has shown that the product is needed. How this works is described under software takeover and modernisation.
How do we stay independent when we have a SaaS product developed?
Through open technologies and documentation. wunderwerk develops with widely used, open technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js and Laravel and documents architecture, interfaces and operation, so that your product doesn’t depend on a no-code builder, a per-user licence or a single developer. Hosting is in the EU, or in your own cloud on request. That way, your SaaS business stays able to act even when circumstances and requirements change.
Why wunderwerk as your SaaS agency?
Because we don’t just develop SaaS products, we have been running them for more than ten years: a learning platform with over 30,000 users, a photovoltaic calculator with over 15,000 plans and multi-instance business software on subscription. wunderwerk is a small, well-coordinated team of software architects, full-stack developers and AI engineers in Tyrol, Vienna and Berlin with over 20 years of project experience. We think business, product and technology together; you talk directly to the managing director and get concept, MVP development and operation from a single source.
Do you also work with companies in Switzerland?
Yes, for over ten years: wunderwerk develops and maintains software for a Swiss industrial automation company that runs in several plants across Europe today. For Swiss companies: hosting in Switzerland or in the EU is possible, Tyrolean hourly rates in euros, kick-off and workshops on site at your premises, easy to reach by train.
