Taking over your vibe coding project and making it production-ready

Built with Lovable, Cursor, Bolt or Claude Code, and the prototype works? Then it has proven that your product is needed. Now it has to hold up: we review code, architecture and security, stabilise what is good and build the rest so that your application carries real users and can still be changed in three years’ time. Maintainable, GDPR-compliant, in the EU.

  • 80+ projects
  • 5.0 on Google
  • EU & GDPR first
  • Initial consultation directly with the Managing Director – free & non-binding

Where is your prototype right now?

Whether it’s a weekend project in Lovable or months of work with Cursor and Claude Code: the hard part begins after the first working click. We pick you up wherever your project stands.

It works, but we don’t trust it

“Everything works in the demo. But what happens with real data and real users?”

A technical analysis with a written report: code, architecture, database, access rights, dependencies and operations. You find out what is sound, what needs fixing first and what it costs.

  • Code review
  • Security check
  • Architecture

Every change breaks something else

“Every new feature breaks two old ones, and nobody knows why any more.”

We add what the prototype is missing: structure, automated tests, clean deployment, documentation. After that, development takes days rather than weeks again, with us or with your AI tools.

  • Stabilisation
  • Tests
  • Further development

We want to go live with it

“The first customers are waiting. But login, payments and data protection are still prototype-grade.”

We make the application production-ready: access rights, payment processing, data protection, hosting in the EU, backups, monitoring. Then it goes out to real users, and someone is responsible when something happens.

  • Production-ready
  • GDPR
  • Operations

Bigger than expected

“The experiment has turned into a product that we now have to run properly.”

We take over as your technology partner: a team instead of a single person, a roadmap built on your domain knowledge, operation and further development. If the core doesn’t hold up, we rebuild it, with your prototype as the best specification there is.

What vibe coding prototypes typically lack

A prototype proves that your idea is needed. That is the important part. What Lovable, Bolt, Cursor and the like don’t deliver, because nobody asked for it, we find in almost every analysis in the same six places.

Access rights & security

Who may see which data? Often every logged-in user sees everything, because database rules such as Row Level Security are missing, API keys sit in the frontend or input goes into the database unchecked.

Data model & database

Tables created for the first feature no longer support the tenth. Missing migrations, duplicate data, no backups, and with the next prompt the schema changes unnoticed.

Tests & structure

No automated tests, business logic scattered across components, the same code three times over. Every change is a shot in the dark, and development slows down just as demand for the product grows.

Operations & monitoring

Who notices when it goes down at night? Deployment with one click in the builder, no separate environments, no logging, no recovery. When something breaks, all that’s left is a restart.

Integration

ERP, CRM, accounting, payment providers: what was simulated in the demo now has to be connected for real, with error handling, retries and reconciliation. This is where most prototypes fail first.

Data protection & rights

Where is the data stored, which services are integrated, are there data processing agreements? Plus the question that must be settled before any takeover: who owns the code, and which licences does it contain?

How we take over your project

Not blindly and not with a flat rate. We look at your project first and tell you honestly what makes economic sense: continue, stabilise or rebuild the core. You decide after every step whether to carry on.

  1. 1

    Initial consultation

30 minutes with the Managing Director: what was built, with what, for what, and where does it get stuck? You get an honest initial assessment of whether a takeover makes sense. Free and non-binding.

  2. 2

    Technical analysis

With access to code, database and hosting, we review architecture, security, data model, tests, operations, dependencies and rights in one to two weeks. The result: a written report with findings, priorities, a cost framework and a recommendation to continue, modernise or rebuild. At a fixed price, and valuable even if you don’t keep working with us afterwards.

  3. 3

    Stabilisation

The critical findings first: access rights, secrets, backups, deployment, tests for the core. Your prototype stays usable; we work in your repository and in short steps with visible results.

  4. 4

    Production-ready & go-live

Login and permissions, payments, data protection, hosting in the EU, monitoring and recovery. Then the application goes out to real users, with training for your team and support during roll-out if you wish.

  5. 5

    Further development & operation

A roadmap built on your domain knowledge, maintenance, monitoring, new features. If you want to keep working with Lovable, Cursor or Claude Code, that’s fine: with shared guardrails such as branches, reviews and tests, so the product keeps lasting.

AI writes code. We build software.

Thanks to wunderOS and our wunderFactory.

AI has opened up programming to everyone: anyone can put a prototype together today. Whether it turns into software that holds up in day-to-day operation is decided afterwards – in architecture, security, testing and maintenance over the years. That is exactly where prompting and real expertise part ways.

That is why we built our own operating system: wunderOS runs our company from sales to development. At its heart is the wunderFactory, where our AI agents, the wunderBots, build to the architecture rules, standards and tests from 20 years of software development – led by experienced software architects.

The result is software built noticeably faster and more affordably – in the quality you hire us for. We are AI experts and use that to get the best out of your project.

What you get out of it:

  • More software for the same budget

The wunderBots handle the routine work. You pay for architecture, decisions and results – not for legwork.

  • Live in weeks, not months

From the workshop to the first usable version, with changes after that in days. You see early on what works.

  • Quality is built in, not bolted on

Tests, reviews and security checks run automatically in the wunderFactory with every change – not just when there is time.

  • Architects, not prompters

The AI executes, we decide: data model, interfaces, operations. That way your software stays maintainable and extensible five years from now.

Bottom line: Bespoke software on terms that make sense for SMEs too – built with AI, with software architects accountable for it.

AI-generated.

Have your prototype reviewed

Briefly tell us what the prototype was built with (Lovable, Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code …), what it should do and where it gets stuck. Within two working days you’ll receive an honest initial assessment and a fixed-price offer for the technical analysis.

Vibe coding is our tool too. Throwaway software isn’t.

We develop with AI agents ourselves and are faster than ever as a result. The difference isn’t the tool, but what comes after it: architecture, tests, operations and someone who takes responsibility.

Vibe coding answers the question of whether something is needed. We answer the question of how it keeps running for the long haul.

  • Your prototype was the right first step

It shows product, workflow and interface better than any requirements document. We don’t belittle the tool or the person who built it; we build on it.

  • The same stack as your tools

TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node and Postgres or Supabase are exactly what Lovable, Bolt, v0 and Cursor generate, and our everyday craft. We take over the code, not just the idea.

  • You stay the owner

The code lives in your repository, hosting runs on your accounts, everything is documented. No lock-in with a builder, and none with us.

  • A team instead of a single person

Software architects, full-stack developers and AI engineers in Tyrol, Vienna and Berlin. Your product no longer depends on one account, one chat history or one person.

Who a takeover pays off for

Software that lasts costs more than a prompt. For it to be worthwhile, there has to be a business behind the prototype. To be honest, it isn’t right for everyone.

A good fit if …

  • Your company has an established business that the prototype complements or digitalises.
  • You are a funded start-up with your first paying users or a committed sales channel.
  • The prototype supports a process or a promise to customers whose failure would cost you money.
  • You can give us access to repository, database and hosting, and the rights to the code are settled or can be settled.
  • You see the analysis as an investment, not as free groundwork.

Probably not a fit if …

  • So far there is only an idea and a prompt, but no company, no users and no funding.
  • You are looking for someone to finish “just the last ten per cent” for a few hundred euros.
  • You expect a free code audit or a fixed price without us having seen the code.
  • What you actually need is a standard product such as a shop, CRM or website. There are better routes for that, and we’ll tell you which.
  • The core is built in a technology we don’t maintain long term, such as .NET. We are still happy to review it and recommend a suitable partner.

Not just clients. Partners.

We focus on long-term partnerships. You stay flexible thanks to open standards and clear documentation.

We had the wunderworkers develop bespoke industrial software for creating recipes for a highly sensitive industrial process.

The collaboration was extremely professional from the outset: the team quickly understood our complex requirements, implemented them precisely and always paid close attention to maximum reliability and security. I would particularly like to highlight their technical know-how, clean documentation and fast response times for questions or change requests.

The recipe editor is now running in several plants in Sweden, Italy and the Czech Republic.

The software runs reliably, is intuitive to use and our customers are completely satisfied. We can recommend wunderwerk without reservation!

Frequently asked questions about taking over vibe coding projects

Your question isn’t here? We’ll answer it directly with the Managing Director in a free initial consultation.

What is vibe coding?

Vibe coding means creating software mainly by describing it in natural language: tools such as Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Cursor or Claude Code generate the code from prompts, without anyone reading or designing every line. That delivers a clickable prototype within hours and is a legitimate, useful first step. wunderwerk uses AI-assisted development itself; the difference from a prototype lies in the architecture, tests, security and operations that have to follow.

Is my Lovable, Bolt or Cursor prototype production-ready?

Usually not yet, and that’s normal. Production-ready means: access rights are deliberately designed, data lives in a sound model with backups, and there are automated tests, separate environments, monitoring and someone who is responsible. AI builders optimise for the first working version, not for these points. In a technical analysis, wunderwerk assesses how far your prototype is from that and what the shortest route there is.

Can you take over and further develop an existing vibe coding project?

Yes, after a paid technical analysis. wunderwerk reviews code, architecture, security, data model, tests, operations, dependencies and the rights to the source code, and then recommends whether continuing, stabilising or rebuilding the core is more economical. After that we take over as your technology partner: stabilisation, go-live, further development and operation. This applies to projects from Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Cursor, Claude Code and similar tools.

How much does it cost to have a vibe coding project taken over?

The starting point is a fixed-price technical analysis that takes one to two weeks, depending on the size of the project. What is needed after that depends on the findings: stabilisation with access rights, tests and deployment is usually done in a few weeks, while rebuilding the core is a project of its own. wunderwerk gives you a transparent cost framework before every step, and you decide after every step whether to carry on. You can get a first assessment via the form or in an initial consultation.

Why a paid analysis rather than a free code check?

Because a serious look at code, database, hosting and dependencies takes days and produces a written report that has value in its own right: findings, priorities, a cost framework and a recommendation that still holds if you continue with someone else afterwards. A free quick check would deliver exactly what you already have: an opinion without a basis. That is why wunderwerk does not give an effort estimate without having seen the project.

Continue, modernise or rebuild?

The analysis decides, not gut feeling. Continue if the architecture and data model hold up and what is mainly missing is tests, permissions and operations. Modernise step by step if the core is good but individual parts need replacing. Rebuild if every change costs more than it brings or the code cannot be understood. Even then your prototype isn’t lost: wunderwerk uses it as a specification that is more precise than any requirements document, and carries over data and workflows.

What are the typical security problems of AI-generated apps?

The most common findings are missing access rules in the database, so that every logged-in user can read or change all data; API keys and secrets in the frontend or the repository; unchecked input; open endpoints without authentication; and dependencies with known vulnerabilities. On top of that come missing backups and deployment without separate environments. During stabilisation, wunderwerk fixes exactly these points first, before real users start using the application.

Which tools and technologies do you work with?

wunderwerk takes over projects from Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf and comparable tools. Technically, that usually means TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node and Postgres or Supabase, exactly the stack we have been using for years to build software for companies. We also work with PHP/Laravel and React Native. We don’t maintain projects whose core is in .NET long term, but we are happy to review them and recommend a suitable partner.

How long does it take until the application can go live?

The technical analysis takes one to two weeks. Depending on scope, wunderwerk can often stabilise the critical points, i.e. access rights, secrets, backups, deployment and tests for the core, in two to six weeks. Rebuilding the core is a project of its own with a prototype as the starting point, usually taking a few months. Your existing prototype stays usable throughout.

Who owns the code after the takeover?

You do. wunderwerk works in your repository and on your hosting accounts, and documents the software so that you stay independent. Before the takeover we clarify together which rights exist to the existing code and to the libraries it uses, because many prototype owners don’t know this exactly themselves. Licensing questions come up in the analysis, not with your first enterprise customer.

Can we keep working with Lovable, Cursor or Claude Code ourselves?

Yes, and that often makes sense, because you know your field best. wunderwerk sets up guardrails for it: separate branches, automated tests, review before deployment and clear rules about who changes which parts of the application. That way you keep the speed of the AI tools without the software becoming disposable again.

Is it GDPR-compliant, and where is the data stored?

Yes, if it is set up deliberately. Many prototypes integrate US services without a data processing agreement or store personal data without a deletion concept. In the analysis, wunderwerk checks which services are integrated and sets up hosting in the EU, on-premise or in a private cloud if you prefer. As a team from Austria, EU & GDPR first is the norm for us.

Do you also take over projects from individuals?

As a rule, no. wunderwerk works with companies that have an established business and with funded start-ups with their first users, because software that lasts is an investment that only pays off then. If there is no company behind your prototype yet, we’ll tell you openly in the initial consultation which next steps are more affordable.

Is there funding for further development?

Yes, digitalisation and software projects in Austria, Germany and Switzerland are funded through various programmes, depending on country, region, company size and project. wunderwerk carries out an initial funding check with you and shows which options are available for your project. The easiest way is in a free initial consultation.
